It absorbs the genetic data of the animals that come into contact with the possessor and makes a copy of it to be used later. The abilities or characteristics can then be recalled by the possessor, to be utilized later. The weight of an elephant, the sonar echoes of bats, the ability to summon whirlwinds of the Gryphons are some of the abilities that can be copied by it.
However, as seen in Volume 8 , using it with higher ranked Eudemons has its consequences. In Yō's case, it resulted in the loss of the Gift and the burning of her hands.

Appearance[]
It takes the form of equipments imbued with the mystical properties of Eudemons. In normal non-combat situations, it remains as a carved pendant. The carving on it is a Phylogenetic Tree that details the type of genetic strains that it can collect data from.
